You really need to find a way to apply the fourier transform to the images but leave the text along. This post describes one way of doing this using GIMP. For the image that you want to work on use the magnifying tool to enlarge this image to fill the window so it is easy to cut around.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>5.<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0Now select the &#8220;Free Select&#8221; or &#8220;Lasso&#8221; cutting tool:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-2113 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext13.jpg\" alt=\"GIMP free select tool\" width=\"145\" height=\"94\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>6.<\/td>\n<td>After you have selected the &#8220;Free Select&#8221; tool, look at the bottom for the &#8220;Tool Options&#8221; and ensure you enable &#8220;Feather edges&#8221;.Then set the &#8220;Radius&#8221; for the feathered edges. You may need to experiment to find a good feather radius depending on the size of your image &#8211; it may need to be quite large if you have a big image.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2129\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext21.jpg\" alt=\"GIMP free text tool\" width=\"300\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext21.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext21-135x150.jpg 135w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext21-269x300.jpg 269w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>An important thing to remember is the radius of the feathered edge needs to be set <strong>before<\/strong> making the selection with the free select tool. If you change this <strong>after<\/strong> making the selection it will use the old radius.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>7.<\/td>\n<td>Using the free select tool cut around the first image. Try to give as wide a berth to the image and the text as possible.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2130\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext22.jpg\" alt=\"GIMP lasso tool\" width=\"400\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext22.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext22-150x101.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/moriepatterns_fixingimagesintext22-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>To use this tool press down the left mouse button and drag it around your image. When you release the mouse button it will draw a line from where you started and where you stopped and create the selection.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>8.<\/td>\n<td>Then select &#8220;Edit | Cut&#8221;. However they are in different layers. The newly pasted layer will likely show up called &#8220;Clipboard&#8221; and it will be the top layer. In my case I had changed the color of the layer, so that is why it is blue in color &#8211; yours will be a thumbnail of your image. You now need to drag your layer below the other layer &#8211; probably called &#8220;Pasted Layer&#8221;.
