You should remove it completely from the cleaner. In particular note that the wire to the handle goes through the white block that holds the swivel rod. Also note how the wire to the brush motor goes around the back.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Note the wire to the handle goes underneath the swivel rod via a couple of slots in the plastic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">You should also pay close attention to how the wire goes through the swivel section. In fact I would suggest you take some photos before you remove the cable so you will know how to thread it back!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a  href=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ElectroluxErgorapidoRepair_7.jpg\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\" title=\"Wiring of the head\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-593\" title=\"Wiring of the head\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ElectroluxErgorapidoRepair_7.jpg\" width=\"350\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ElectroluxErgorapidoRepair_7.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ElectroluxErgorapidoRepair_7-150x112.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ElectroluxErgorapidoRepair_7-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.zoyinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ElectroluxErgorapidoRepair_7-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Now unscrew the circuit board and record where the wires go as you will need to unsolder the wires that lead up to the handle of the vacuum. If the cable is not in the right slots then the cover plate for the head will not sit flush as it is supposed to.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Now go back over the above instructions for disassembling the head and reverse them to put it back together. Be patient you will get there the hard work has been done.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Parts<\/h2>\n<p>You can buy these parts from a number of authorized service agents and if you don&#8217;t know who these are Electrolux are happy to let you know who they are. A couple I know of are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<a  href=\"http:\/\/www.vacuumspot.com.au\/\">http:\/\/www.vacuumspot.com.au\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<a  href=\"http:\/\/www.needapart.co.nz\">http:\/\/www.needapart.co.nz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0You should find the prices for clip joints quite reasonable.
