Anyone for ham

By

January 20, 2013

We were waiting at the shops yesterday and to my surprise I found sparrows were really keen to eat at an old piece of leg of ham that had somehow found itself on the pavement.

The birds were scared off on a number of occasions when I tried to get closer and when others disturbed them but they started coming back in 20 or 30 seconds or so.

I didn’t even know sparrows would like raw meat like this, I guess when you think about it they eat worms and the like so ham isn’t all that different.
